Washington Post: "Admit It. The Republicans Are Worse."its THE republicanZ stupid

.we have no choice but to acknowledge that the core of the problem lies with the Republican Party.
The GOP has become an insurgent outlier in American politics. It is ideologically extreme; scornful of compromise; unmoved by conventional understanding of facts, evidence and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition.
When one party moves this far from the mainstream, it makes it nearly impossible for the political system to deal constructively with the country’s challenges

what century is this? Thank god someone higher up in the Newton County justice system reevaluated that initial response. Rewarding vigilantism by bigots only begets the potential for more acts of violence by racists using their guns to "protect their neighborhoods" from anyone with a darker skin tone than their own. If you think I am employing hyperbole here and overreacting, just read this quote by Canole Sr. on Monday before he was arrested:

"I don't know what they can charge me with," Canoles said late Monday afternoon, before the interview with authorities. "This is my Second Amendment right. Look, this is the country out here, and we protect our own."
IKE?

YOU ARE A PATHETIC COWARD TED, HOW BRAVE ARE YOU WITHOUT THE GUNS?? PUSSY

After Nugent's Violence-Tinged Words Against Obama, Secret Service Watching Him

While the mainstream media may be more focused on the absurdity that is Ann Romney mom-gate, there's another media scandal that's actually attracting the attention of the Secret Service.
Our own Adele Stan covered the story yesterday, reminding us that the Romney campaign has cozied up to "singer" Ted Nugent, who has a history of Limbaugh-level awful comments and recently said"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."
Apparently, the words did not go unheeded. From NYMag's Dan Amira:
A spokesman for the Secret Service tells us, "We are aware of it, and we'll conduct an appropriate follow up."
And yet, the media remains more interested in reviving the mommy wars and combining them with empty electoral speculation. I'm shocked.

President Barack Obama said the White House proposed “Buffet Rule” could be named the “Reagan Rule,” referring to former Republican President Ronald Reagan as a “wild-eyed, Socialist, tax hiking class warrior.”
“This President gave another speech where he said it was ‘crazy’ — that’s a quote — that certain tax loopholes make it possible for multimillionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying 10 percent of his salary,” Obama said at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building Wednesday. “That wild-eyed, socialist, tax-hiking class warrior was Ronald Reagan.”

making of a rampage These “going postal” rampage killings like the one that just took place at the Oikos University campus happen so often and with such relentless rhythm, a lot of people might easily assume that these mass-shootings at American schools and workplaces have always been with us.
It’s not true, of course — as I wrote in my book Going Postal: Rage, Murder and Rebellion — it’s an exclusively American phenomenon specific to our time. The first post office rampage killing took place in Edmond, Oklahoma, in the mid-1980s, at the height of the Reagan Revolution’s war on the American worker.
It was only after the crash in 2008 that some Americans began to accept the obvious: That the cruelty, predation and concentration of wealth and power introduced by the Reagan Revolution sparked a new type of murder that has more in common with insurgency violence or rebellious peasant violence than, say, the psychopathology of a serial murder.
